Arquímides Reyes, un joven cantante salvadoreño originario de San Alejo, La Unión, logró ubicarse esta semana que recién pasó dentro de los mejores cuatro clasificados en el concurso Latin American Idol actualmente llevándose a cabo en Argentina. A diferencia de Alvaro Torres, quien fue descalificado del programa local basura Buscando Estrellas en los años ochenta, para luego sobresalir en el extranjero en donde sí lo apreciaron, Quime, como lo llaman sus fans, ha tenido la oportunidad de no perder el tiempo en su propio país y participar directamente en eventos internacionales como Rojo Internacional de Chile y esta vez en el Idol. Le deseamos mucha suerte.

Arquímedes Reyes, a young salvadorean singer from the town of San Alejo, La Unión, was able to stay this past week in the top four classified in the Latin American Idol contest currently taking place in Argentina. Unlike Alvaro Torres, who was disqualified from a local and incompetent tv show called Buscando Estrellas in the eighties, just to find stardom internationally where he was appreciated, Quime, as his fans call him, has had the opportunity not to waste time in his own country by participating directly in international events such as as Rojo Internacional of Chile and this time in the Idol. We wish him luck.

la gráfica dando órdenes directas y gesticulando específicamente a todo su
gabinete en una reunión secreta con el Coena, a la cual uno de nuestros
colaboradores tuvo acceso mediante una operación periodística encubierta.
Tal y como lo indica con la señal de su mano derecha, el propósito principal
de dicha reunión fue exhortar a todos los funcionarios públicos de su partido
a utilizar al máximo el poco tiempo que les queda al frente del gobierno en lo
que han hecho por los últimos 18 años, ante su inminente salida del poder en
las próximas elecciones.

Just how he signals with his right hand, the main purpose for such a
meeting was to encourage all his partisans in office to use to the maximum
their remaining and short time in government doing what they have done
for the last 18 years, facing their imminent exit from power with the next
elections.
